Job summary
Snap Inc. is seeking a Computational Imaging Engineer to join the SPECS team in Los Angeles. You will develop image signal processing pipelines for next‑generation computational imaging platforms and collaborate across optics, sensors, and compute teams.
You should have a bachelor’s degree in optics/EE/CS and 2+ years in computational imaging for computer vision; PhD or master’s preferred. The role offers RSU equity, comprehensive benefits, and a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science or related field required.
- 2+ years of experience in computational imaging for computer vision.
- Experience with ISP and machine learning algorithms for camera products.
- Experience with non-traditional image sensors including SPADs, event sensors, neuromorphic sensors, etc.
Responsibilities
- Develop ISP pipelines for next‑gen computational imaging platforms.
- Collaborate across optics, sensors, computer vision, and compute teams.
- Influence architectural decisions and trade-offs.
- Develop test methodologies and validation plans for camera ISP performance.
- Lead root cause analysis for sensor performance issues.
- Travel up to 15%.
