Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Computational Imaging Engineer to advance ISP pipelines for next‑generation imaging on AR/VR devices. You will collaborate with optics, sensors, CS, and ML teams to shape architecture and algorithms.

You will validate camera performance, develop test plans, and drive root-cause analysis while traveling up to 15% to support cross‑functional projects. This role offers exposure to edge and distributed compute platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in optics, physics, electrical engineering, computer science or related field.
2+ years of experience in computational imaging for computer vision applications.
Experience with computational imaging, computer vision, and machine learning for image processing.
Experience developing and optimizing ISP and machine learning algorithms for camera products
Experience with non‑traditional image sensors including SPADs, event sensors, neuromorphic sensors.

Responsibilities

Develop image signal processing (ISP) pipelines for next generation computational imaging platforms.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across optics, sensors, computer vision, and compute teams.
Influence key architectural decisions and drive consensus on critical trade-offs.
Develop test methodologies and characterization plans for camera ISP performance.
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for sensor performance issues.
Travel up to 15%.
