Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services in Deer Park, TX, is seeking a mechanical maintenance technician to service compressors and pumps across Oil & Gas, Power, and Marine sectors. You’ll work on Cooper OEM and non-OEM platforms, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to safety and reliability on site.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, the ability to lift 50 lbs, and a valid driver's license; overtime and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent related work experience).
• 2–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, ideally in oil and gas operations.
• Able to wear PPE and work safely around rotating equipment.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness for overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compressors and related components on Cooper OEM and non-OEM platforms.
• Maintain and repair pumps and related components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on compressors and pumps and escalate when needed.
• Support parts activities for reciprocating compressor maintenance, including identifying replacement components.
• Use tools and test equipment effectively.
• Perform and document routine regulatory inspections.
• Complete timesheets, SAP orders, and work permits accurately.
• Participate in training, risk management reviews, and safety meetings.
