Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking a Mechanic I for our Houston Machine Shop to disassemble, rebuild, and test compressor and engine equipment used by energy operators worldwide. Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
0-2 years of mechanical test/assembly or heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
Comfortable with hands-on physical work and lifting.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint compressor and engine equipment.
Use a wide range of mechanical tools to complete tasks.
Conduct risk assessments before operations and material movements.
Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Set up and run test operations per engineering specs.
Keep facility equipment and tooling operational, safe, and organized.
Identify and report hazards and ensure documentation is accurate.
