Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Compressor Line Lead in Kansas City, MO. You will provide day-to-day leadership on the compressor production line, coordinate workflow, and promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

The role requires coaching, training, and strong communication with operators and supervisors. You will oversee start-up meetings, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to standard work and 5S practices, with possible overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 years in manufacturing, assembly, repair, or production experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational support to employees within the assigned production area.
• Lead by example through professionalism, attendance, work ethic, safety compliance, and engagement.
• Communicate daily production goals, priorities, and expectations to team members.
• Coordinate workflow to maintain production schedules and support objectives.
• Facilitate daily startup meetings and communicate safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
