Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Assembler 2- Compressor Line Lead Technician to provide day-to-day leadership on the Compressor production line. You will coordinate workflow, communicate priorities, and support safety, quality, and productivity while partnering with supervisors and management.

You will lead by example, coach staff, support onboarding and training, and promote 5S in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to positively influence team performance.
• Ability to communicate, read, and understand work instructions and procedures in English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred to support diverse teams.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and operational support within the production area.
• Lead by example in attendance, work ethic, safety compliance, and engagement.
• Communicate daily production goals, priorities, and expectations to the team.
• Coordinate workflow to maintain schedules and operational objectives.
• Facilitate start-up meetings and ensure safety, quality, and productivity objectives are understood.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members and support training activities.
• Support cross-training and coverage across multiple production areas.
• Promote 5S standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
