Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Compression Lab Engineer for the R&D center in Syracuse, NY. You will perform maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and upgrades of compressor test stands and support LabVIEW data acquisition and PLC systems.

Ideal candidates hold engineering degrees and HVAC/R experience, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment and collaborate with the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in engineering with 2+ years HVAC/R experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• EPA 608 certification preferred or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of calorimeter and reliability test stands.
• Maintain lab data acquisition computers on compressor test stands.
• Maintain and revise LabVIEW DAQ software and PLC code.
• Manage and store test data from compressor testing.
• Collaborate on design modifications to test stands.
• Guide lab technicians in operation and calibration.
• Maintain and develop lab process standard work documentation.
