Job summary

Comp-Air Ohio is a Northern Ohio-based air compressor distributor seeking an on-site field service technician. The role covers maintenance, repair, and installation across diverse sites, with emphasis on uptime and reliable service.

You will diagnose electrical controls, service dryers, and assist with plant air piping installations while traveling to customer sites. A safety-conscious, customer-focused mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience with industrial compressors or closely related equipment.
• Expertise diagnosing and repairing electrical control systems.
• Valid refrigeration recovery certificate.
• Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic control fundamentals.
• A standard toolkit and electrical meters suitable for field service.
• A customer-first, service-oriented approach.

About The Role

Picture your day: you roll out in a well-equipped company truck to visit manufacturing sites across Northern Ohio. First stop, a production facility where a rotary screw compressor needs a preventive maintenance check. After verifying electrical controls and inspecting VFD behavior, you swap filters, change oil, and log performance data. Next, you service a refrigerated dryer and review desiccant regeneration schedules. Before the day wraps, you help install new plant air piping and commission a fresh compressed air system—leaving the customer confident their uptime is protected.

What You’ll Do
