Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to work under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves compounding medications in a clean room at least 50% of the time to ensure safe, accurate operations.

You will assist with preparation, labeling, calculations, documentation, and adherence to state regulations and internal policies. Benefits include insurance and retirement plans. Training is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services.

Responsibilities

• Prescription compounding, preparation, & processing under pharmacist supervision.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in reporting medication-related incidents.
• Maintains pharmacy surfaces, laminar flow hoods, logs and equipment.
• Inspects equipment and documents failures or defects.
