Job summary

Option Care Health in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a Compounding Technician I to assist pharmacists in preparing medications in a clean room, spending about 50% of time on compounding to ensure safe, accurate operations.

Under pharmacist direction, you will prepare medications, perform basic calculations, label and package items, and help maintain logs for temperature and cleaning. A HS Diploma or GED, 1 year as a pharmacy technician, and licensure as required by state are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state)

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with OCH policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
