Job summary
Option Care Health in North Carolina is seeking a Compounding Technician I to support a licensed Pharmacist. The role involves working in a clean room, performing compounding at least 50% of the time to help ensure safe, accurate operations.
You will assist with prescription compounding, preparation and processing, accurately labeling medications, and maintaining temperature and equipment logs. A High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience are required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
- Must be licensed or registered if required by state.
Responsibilities
- Assists pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies.
- Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
- Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations for correct dosages.
- Accurately labels and packages medications.
- Participates in reporting medication related incidents.
- Ensures pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned.
- Inspects equipment and documents failures or defects.
- Maintains pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
