Job summary

Option Care Health, the nation's largest home infusion provider, seeks a Pharmacy Technician I to assist pharmacists in compounding and processing medications. You will prepare and package medicines, perform calculations, label products, and help maintain clean room operations in a compliant, patient-focused environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, and licensing if required by state.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications per policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications for accurate compounding.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Label and package medications accurately.
• Participate in reporting medication-related incidents.
• Ensure pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods are cleaned and sanitized.
• Inspect equipment and document failures or defects.
• Maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs.
