Job summary

Option Care Health, the nation’s largest home infusion provider, seeks a Compounding Technician I to assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing in a compliant clean room environment. You will perform basic calculations and help ensure safe, accurate compounding operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, with licensure/registration as required by state.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
• Ability to perform basic and intermediate level math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies per policies and state regulations.
• Prepare medications to be accurately compounded and labeled.
• Perform basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages.
• Maintain and sanitize pharmacy surfaces and laminar flow hoods; document equipment issues.
• Maintain temperature and cleaning logs for the pharmacy.
