Job summary

Tschiffely Pharmacy, a long-standing independent downtown DC pharmacy, seeks a pharmacy technician to perform non-sterile compounding and support front-end operations. You will compound under pharmacist supervision, manage prescriptions, and assist customers with OTC needs using our prescription software and POS system.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of technician experience and hold an active DC Pharmacy Technician license; compounding knowledge and a customer-service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred but not required.
• DC Board of Pharmacy registration and active DC license required.

Responsibilities

• Compound prescriptions by weighing, measuring and mixing ingredients per formulas.
• Operate and maintain compounding equipment and ensure cleanliness.
• Enter prescription data accurately and handle insurance and billing.
• Assist customers with OTC needs and process sales at the POS.
