Job summary

What You’ll Do

As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will work closely with pharmacists to prepare customized medications according to established formulas, procedures, and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accurately prepare compounded medications under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist.
• Perform non-sterile compounding activities.
• Accurately weigh, measure, mix, compound, package, and label medications and pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Follow established formulas, compounding procedures, and quality-control processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant compounding environment.
• Properly operate, clean, and maintain compounding equipment and work areas.
• Accurately document compounding activities, ingredients, lot numbers, expiration dates, and other required information.
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations and measurements accurately.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, stocking, and monitoring pharmaceutical ingredients and supplies.
• Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Identify and communicate potential errors, discrepancies, or quality concerns to the pharmacist.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information.
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
