Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I to assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications in a clean room environment. The role emphasizes accurate compounding, labeling, and adherence to state regulations, with focus on patient safety and quality control.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, logging temperatures, and supporting basic pharmaceutical calculations. Requires high school diploma, at least 1 year of technician experience, and applicable

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by the state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic to intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with policies & procedures, and in accordance with state regulations & standards.
• Prepares medications so they are accurately compounded.
• Performs basic pharmaceutical calculations in order to obtain correct dosages of medications.
• Accurately labels and packages medications.
• Participates in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication related incidents.
• Inspects equipment and documents any equipment failures or defects.
• Assists with recording and maintaining pharmacy temperature & cleaning logs.
