Job summary

Strive Pharmacy in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a hands-on Compounding Mechanical Specialist to support maintenance and calibration of compounding equipment. This role partners with the Facility Manager, Pharmacists, and technicians to maximize reliability and compliance.

The position is onsite, 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, with compensation in the range of $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Join us to help maintain essential compounding operations with a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license or registration in good standing.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production, laboratory, or manufacturing equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation, maintenance tracking, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete basic repairs, maintain maintenance schedules, coordinate service activities, and document work for reliability and readiness.
• Maintain and support critical laboratory and production equipment, including cabinets, balances, filling, labeling, printers, air compressors, conveyors, and related machinery.
• Assist with equipment calibration per SOPs, keep records, and support USP <795>/<800>, state regs, and company policies.
• Build and maintain relationships with equipment vendors, coordinate service, and manage replacement parts and tools inventory.
• Train and support team members on equipment operation, conduct competency assessments, provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate maintenance to minimize workflow disruption and assist other teams during peaks.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes.
