Job summary

Mountville Rubber Company seeks a production worker for a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment in Georgia. You will follow safety procedures and PPE, accurately weigh and transfer chemical contents, lift 50+ pounds, and maintain clean work areas while supporting reliable production.

You will follow written recipes and procedures, work with a team, report concerns about materials or packaging, and participate in shift rotations (1st and 2nd) with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and required PPE when handling chemicals, materials, and equipment.
  • Lift bags and boxes from pallets and safely place them onto worktables or designated work areas.
  • Cut bags and safely transfer chemical contents into pans or other designated containers.
  • Accurately weigh and scoop chemicals according to established recipes and specifications.
  • Secure prepared plastic bags and place them into the appropriate designated containers.
  • Follow established procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of chemicals and materials.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and work areas to support safe and efficient operations.

  • Verify materials and measurements before releasing prepared chemicals to production.
  • Immediately report incorrect materials, weights, damaged packaging, contamination, or other concerns that could affect product quality.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy when preparing materials to help ensure finished rubber compounds meet customer specifications.
  • Work with Production and Quality personnel to address material or preparation concerns before they impact the customer.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve safety, accuracy, cleanliness, or efficiency within the compounding process.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to material handling, chemical preparation, and workplace organization.
  • Help identify recurring issues or process inefficiencies and communicate them to supervision.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a manner that supports reliable and efficient production.
