Job summary

Innove Inc. is seeking a Compounder to support the manufacturing department by batch making, weighing, and moving materials within the plant area. This role requires careful adherence to recipes, GMP, and SOPs to ensure product quality and safety.

The position involves weighing materials, monitoring processes, and providing QC samples as needed. Candidates should be capable of teamwork, operating a tow motor, and handling physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Batch making and weighing according to recipes; handling heating/cooling as needed.
  • Review batch records; ensure SOPs and GMP compliance.
  • Provide samples to QC for approvals.
  • Transfer bulk to totes, drums, and pails as required.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized compounding area.
  • Perform inventory counts and housekeeping duties as necessary.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The role of the Compounder is supporting the compounding department by batch making, weighing, and moving materials in totes, drums, pails and in department area.

Essential Functions:
  • Check pre-weigh raw materials for batches
  • Review all batch records and follow specific recipes and processes precisely while stirring the correct amount of materials together while heating, cooling or applying pressure to the mix as necessary
  • Assure that SOP’s are followed, and production performed in accordance with GMP
  • Provide samples to quality department to obtain QC approvals
  • Transfer bulk from tanks into totes, drums, and pails based on expectation of this being complete each day by end of shift, if needed
  • Keep compounding area clean by wiping up puddles and performing general housekeeping duties within the area based on daily, weekly and monthly cleaning requirements
  • Perform appropriate inventory counts as needed
  • Always observe company’s safety procedures and policy
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area ensuring every one’s safety
  • Keep mixing equipment clean and follow production quality policies of the department as detailed in SOP’s
  • Dress in proper personal protective equipment (hair net, safety glasses, any additional protection needed based on chemicals that are being handled
  • Other job responsibilitiesas assigned
Skills/Characteristics Needed for Success:
  • Read and comprehend production instructions, and basic chemical and hazard information
  • Demonstrate basic math and measurement skills to ensure that ratios of material are consistent (kilograms to grams, pounds to kilograms, etc.)
  • Tow motor experience as well as proper safety of tow motor operations
  • Able to participate in a team-oriented, willingness to assist and train others
  • Able to work individually with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work overtime based on company needs
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to position self to kneel, stoop, bend, reach, move up to 60lbs at times.
  • Moving can be continuous at times up to 40 minutes.
  • Ability to roll drums on and off pallets with weight frequently between 200-600 pounds.
