Job summary

Actalent in Dayton, NJ is seeking a Compounder to accurately retrieve and measure ingredients, mix components, and identify solids for melting using hot plates. You will follow GMP procedures, document all steps, and ensure food safety and quality through precise weighing, sampling, and batch inspections.

The role requires 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience with powders/raw materials, and adherence to safety protocols in a fully onsite environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of compounding experience in powder/raw materials.
• Experience working in a GMP environment.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols.
• Experience handling raw materials.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and accurately measure ingredients using scales.
• Mix various ingredients and identify solids for melting using hot plates.
• Dilute ingredients appropriately and record raw materials usage.
• Verify the weight and contents of raw materials and conduct in-process batch inspections.
• Document all process events by following established procedures and policies.
• Process liquid, powders, and utilize homogenizing and spray dry methods of compounding.
• Follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes and other substances.
• Check for consistency in batches and measure the viscosity of mixtures.
• Take samples of batches for laboratory testing.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and accurately document work completed.
• Wear a uniform and proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
