Job summary

Qualifications

  • 4–6 years in compounding or manufacturing.
  • 4–6 years in batch documentation and GMP compliance.
  • Experience operating a reach truck is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all Mixing Tanks within the assigned department to produce batches.
  • Accurately fill in logbooks, batch sets, and production documentation.
  • Drive tow motor and maintain licensure; follow safety rules.
  • Maintain GMP knowledge and ensure audit readiness.
  • Communicate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance and Production to resolve issues.
  • Support process improvements to reduce waste and improve quality.
  • Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement for supply.
  • Document batch yields and deviations; report equipment issues promptly.

Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Compounder to join our client’s production team in Ridgefield, NJ. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials according to established formulas and procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality batches. You’ll also help maintain a clean and safe work environment, monitor equipment during the compounding process, and support process improvements to optimize production efficiency.

Contract

Pay Rate: DoE

Shifts: 1 st shift, 7 am – 3:30 pm
2 nd shift, 3:30 pm – 12 am

Job Summary

The Compounder plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, responsible for preparing and mixing raw materials to create high-quality batches according to production schedules and specifications. This position ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards while operating and maintaining various mixing and compounding equipment. The Compounder also handles accurate documentation of batch records and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet production and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating all Mixing Tanks with the assigned department
  • Filling in all logbooks, batch sets, and documentation accurately
  • Driving the tow motor and maintaining licensure
  • Maintaining GMP knowledge and adhering to safety rules
  • Act as a point of contact between the compounding department and other departments such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production to resolve operational issues and ensure seamless communication
  • Participate in initiatives to improve compounding efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall production quality
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability for production needs
  • Report equipment malfunctions or required maintenance promptly to avoid production delays. Ensure team members are trained on the proper use and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Ensure department complies with all regulatory requirements and is audit-ready at all times. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and records
  • Maintain and submit detailed production reports including batch yields, deviations, and other required metrics
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4-6 years in compounding or manufacturing or manufacturing
  • 4-6 years in batch documentation and GMP compliance
  • Experience in operating a reach truck is required
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Verbal and written communication skills for documentation
  • Comprehensive understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance
  • Competence in compounding, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures
