Job summary

Fisica, Inc. in San Leandro, CA, is seeking an entry-level bonding technician. You will bond composites or metals, lay out parts, and apply sealing resins, under supervision.

You will operate autoclaves and presses, monitor cycle conditions, and verify the quality of finished products. The role requires a high school diploma with up to 3 years of related experience and the ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship required).

Salary Range: $18.51 To $34.38 Hourly

Shift: Flexible can come in between 5:30am-7am and work 9 hour shift

9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.

Job Description:

Bonds a variety of dissimilar materials (composite, metal, or laminate) assemblies, parts, skins, components, equipment or structures into semi-finished or finished products. Lays out articles, cuts parts or materials to size. Applies liquid or solid bonding agents. Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle. Controls conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agent being used. Sands, burrs and smoothes over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges. Monitors and verifies quality of finished product. Completes repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions. Verifies quality of finished product.

Entry-level support individual contributor. Work is closely supervised. Work consists of tasks that are routine. Explains facts and practices related to job area.

Works with close supervision on routine tasks. Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $38,500 - $71,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
