Job Title: Large Antenna Assembler
Job Location: San Leandro, CA (100% onsite)

Shift: 5am-2:30pm
Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off.
Position Overview
Responsible for fabricating, building, handling, repairing and integrating complex parts, assemblies and machines normally used in engineering prototypes, one‑of‑a‑kind products or low‑volume manufacturing. Provides highly skilled labor for extremely tight or critical tolerances. Hardware is fabricated and assembled using engineering standards and is oftentimes considered fragile, high precision, highly sensitive and of high value. May interface with engineers in prototyping and optimizing assembly processes and procedures for manufacturability. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. May require handling knowledge such as use of overhead cranes and equipment and rigging best practices. May design and fabricate manufacturing assembly aids and tooling. May lead and manage multiple builds and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Documents results, maintains records, and prepares reports.
- Maintain full compliance with respect to all EH&S and safety requirements. Advise technical lead and or management of any non‑compliant issues immediately.
- Performs complex mechanical assembly work utilizing blueprints and operation sheets.
- Uses hand tools and various epoxies to perform operations.
- Interfaces with engineering, quality assurance, and test personnel to ensure subassemblies are inspected and tested at specified checkpoints.
- May perform duties relating to remote testing, including preparing and transporting product and assisting test site personnel.
- Performs rework and makes adjustments as required.
- Performs pressure testing to locate leaks in subassemblies.
- May perform hand soldering and wiring (once certified).
- Support repair of product at customer site as required.
- Must be able to identify, document, and incorporate with engineering any necessary changes on router and/or blueprints needed to improve or correct issues to insure a quality product to our customers.
- May perform tasks with engineering to aid in the designs and manufacturing of needed upgrades for tooling and/or assemblies necessary for the improvement of our products.
Qualifications Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior experience and the ability to read operation sheets and complex blueprints.
- Requires soldering skills, the ability to use measuring instruments and use of complex formulas, charts.
- Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills.
Additional Requirements
- Flexible to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends and travel on occasion.
- Must have good repetitive manual dexterity with both hands.
- Must have sufficient vision to see relative positions of small parts and be able to discern symmetry and proper alignment.
- May be exposed to fumes, dust, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather, moving mechanical parts or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
- Able to stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time.
- Able to push and reach for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in confined space areas for extended periods of time.
- Able to lift 25 pounds close to the body repetitively. Employees should use material handling tools for heavier loads or awkward positions.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary. Must be able to pass a respirator medical physical. Clean shaven or no facial hair may be required for proper fit of respiratory protection.
- Work at heights up to 30 feet after training. Use fall protection above 30 inches.
- Must have a valid CA Driver’s License.
- Operate overhead crane, lifts & rigging after training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,000 – $113,000.
