Job summary

ALTA Performance Materials US, LLC seeks a Technical Service Representative to deliver technical support to customers, support product qualifications, and assist with application development and field trials. You will gain strong knowledge of the product portfolio, fabrication processes and industry practices.

The role involves onsite customer visits, evaluating applications and collaborating with sales to grow business, with travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in composites, resins, coatings, polymers or related environments preferred.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand products, applications and processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reports and customer presentations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers related to products, applications, manufacturing processes, and product performance.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the product portfolio, technologies, applications and end markets.
• Troubleshoot customer product, process, and application issues and collaborate on effective solutions.
• Conduct onsite customer visits, technical assessments, product trials, and application evaluations.
• Provide product recommendations based on customer requirements and performance needs.
• Support customers in optimizing product use, processing conditions, quality and overall performance.
• Prepare detailed technical service reports documenting visits, trials, findings and recommendations.
• Partner closely with Sales to maintain and grow existing business and develop new opportunities.
• Provide technical input throughout the commercial process, including evaluations and new product introductions.
• Develop strong relationships with technical, manufacturing, quality and other stakeholders within customer organizations.
• Proactively engage with customers to understand operations, technical needs and future opportunities.
• Coordinate resources across the organization to ensure timely customer support.
