Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Composite Manufacturing Technician to support its Advanced Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL. The role involves fabricating and assembling composite rocket motor hardware, with a 12-hour weekend shift schedule (Fri–Sun, 6am–6:30pm).

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0–3 years of related experience. Candidates must be able to obtain a US security clearance and work within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-3 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce parts and assemblies using composite fabrication and related processes per detailed work instructions.
• Prepare lay-up components and cure/post-cure processes for composites.
• Operate shop equipment such as ovens, autoclaves, lathes, milling centers and welding equipment.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and perform vacuum bagging and curing of composite parts.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and keep work area clean per SOPs.
