Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc. is seeking a Composite Technician for our Kinston, NC facility.

You will lay out, assemble, pre-fit and bond composites and metal structures for aerospace components, following precise specifications and process parameters in a hands-on shop environment. We require a high school diploma or GED, willingness to work any shift, and the ability to read prints and perform precision measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and willingness to work any shift.
• Ability to read prints, charts, sketches and work orders.
• Experience with precision measuring and use of lay-up tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond metal, composite or laminate fabrications and components.
• Follow engineering specs to determine bonding parts and required temperature/pressure.
• Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens for bonding cycles.
• Inspect and verify quality per work instructions; perform rework as needed.
• Take information from prints and use shop maths to complete tasks.
