Job summary

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston, Inc., based in Kinston, NC, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. You will perform a range of assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical components, following diagrams and specifications.

Qualifications

• Must complete Workkeys Assessment or hold a Highschool Diploma/GED.
• Ability to perform a variety of production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed products and may conduct quality inspections.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
• Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders to assemble to quality requirements.
• Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate assembly progression.
• Setup and perform all manual and automated assembly operations and portable machine functions.
• Move and/or obtain correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, etc.
