The role emphasizes layup, lamination and bagging, with hands-on operation of curing and inspection steps, while maintaining safety and equipment readiness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Composites manufacturing knowledge, skills and abilities.
• 1-3 years of composites-specific manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of layup, lamination and bagging experience.
• Basic math and ability to read layouts and inspection tools.
• Excellent manual dexterity and physical capability for the role.
• ITAR compliance: U.S. person required.

Responsibilities

• Act as small team lead, keep team on task and finish within timeframe.
• Interface with leads, supervisors, and engineers to improve processes.
• Perform composite repairs under supervision of senior staff.
• Fabricate composite molds and parts per drawings.
• Lay-up, de-mold, vacuum bag and infuse composite parts as instructed.
• Polish, de-burr and grind composites parts; clean tools per instructions.
• Operate manufacturing equipment as needed and ensure quality standards.
• Maintain clean work area and support safety and quality procedures.
