Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (Spirit Defense) is seeking personnel to join its Defense Business Unit in Wichita.

The role focuses on building composite structure details and assemblies using carbon and other composite materials, following drawings and process specifications to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Responsibilities include multi-tasking on platforms up to ten feet high, working in confined spaces, and using tools and technology for precise lay-up.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work any shift; 2nd shift common for new hires.
• Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Build composite structure details and assemblies per drawings and specs.
• Maintain quality and timely delivery per processes and procedures.
• Perform multi-tasking and operate multiple machines when applicable.
• Work on platforms up to ten feet above the ground and in confined spaces.
• Operate with attention to safety and team collaboration.
• Utilize tools and technology (digital gauges, lasers) for lay-up and assembly.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and assist teammates.
