Job summary

The Boeing Company in Mesa, AZ is seeking a 2nd shift Composites Materials & Processes Engineer, for an associate or experienced level, to join our fabrication site. You will apply chemistry, physics, and materials science to develop and qualify composites, and support part fabrication.

The role is full-time and onsite (12:30 pm – 10:00 pm). The selected candidate must obtain US security clearance; DoD clearance is desired and relocation is possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
• 1+ years of experience in engineering
• Able to work full-time 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Apply chemistry, physics and materials science to develop and qualify composites.
• Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication.
• Perform root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions for material and process issues.
• Create and execute test plans, write reports and input to specs for materials, tools, and processes.
• Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes.
• Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory.
• Coordinate with Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.
• Travel to suppliers as needed.
• Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines.
• Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work.
