The Boeing Company is seeking a 2nd shift motivated collaborative associate or experienced Composites M&P (Materials and Processes) Engineer to join our Composite Materials Fabrication Site in Mesa, Arizona. Position Responsibilities

  • The role is full‑time 2nd shift and is expected to be 100% onsite.
What You’ll Do
  • Apply chemistry, physics, and material science to develop and qualify composite materials and processing methods.
  • Provide technical evaluation and material and process support to composite part fabrication.
  • Perform root‑cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for material and process issues.
  • Create and execute test plans, write reports and input to specifications for materials, tools, and processes.
  • Qualify and approve equipment, materials and processes.
  • Guide material testing in the Materials & Processes Laboratory.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.
  • Travel to suppliers as needed.
  • Integrate new technologies and promote standardization across product lines.
  • Manage test/audit programs, ensure regulatory and contractual compliance, and incorporate EHS, LEAN, and Quality principles into your work.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, with 2+ years’ experience or a Master’s degree.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship and U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start required.
Preferred Skills
  • 1+ years working with composites, elastomers, and associated processing techniques (Level 2 or 3 based on years of experience).
  • Hands‑on lab experience with polymer chemistry analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with materials such as epoxy, cyanate ester, bismaleimide, urethane, polyimide, reinforcements, and adhesives.
  • Experience with composite failure modes (structural and non‑structural) and failure analysis.
  • Experience in technical specifications, reports, and test plans.
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations and briefings.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team‑based environment.
Pay Rate Range

64 – 69 USD hourly
