Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Riverside, CA facility on the second shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm). The role focuses on stabilizing, sustaining, and improving composite and metallic production processes, with emphasis on quality, cost, and cycle-time reduction.

You will work hands-on with operators and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, support design changes, and advance digital manufacturing initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, process specifications, reports, and work instructions.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to follow established procedures and adapt concepts to production needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist and train assemblers in composite fabrication operations.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (routings, BOMs, work instructions).
• Ensure processes comply with EHS, quality, and engineering specs.
• Investigate production issues using data analysis and root cause methods.
• Use data analytics and SPC to improve productivity and metrics.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, design engineering, and suppliers.
