Job summary

Axillon Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a 4- to 6-month temporary assignment in California. The role focuses on layup, molding, bonding, and finishing aerospace composite parts.

You will work a 2nd shift (2:30pm-12:00am) on a 9/80 schedule, with overtime as needed and potential for skill progression based on performance. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in manufacturing or composite fabrication, with strong attention to detail and ability to use hand tools and follow written

Qualifications

• Required High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 2-5 years of experience working in manufacturing, assembly, layup or composite fabrication. Aerospace experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layup and cure composite parts using prepreg fabric, uni-tape, SMC, BMC and dry materials.
• Assemble, demold, and bond components; perform bonding and finishing.
• Use hand and power tools to perform production operations.
• Ensures that all material used in deliverable products is within its shelf-life and traceability information is recorded.
• Maintains and cares for tools, molds, machines and equipment.
• Recommends process improvements and supports Lean initiatives.
