Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Composite Machining Manufacturing Engineer to design and optimize machining processes for CFRP aerospace components. You will own processes from development through production, including CNC routing, trimming, and robotic machining using Mastercam, Robotmaster, and KUKA cells.

You will collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to ensure quality, cost, and schedule targets are met, mentoring technicians and advancing automation and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's in Mechanical/ Aerospace/ Manufacturing Engineering.
• Extensive aerospace manufacturing experience with composite machining.
• Experience with CNC routing, trimming, drilling, milling, and profiling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of machining processes for aerospace composites.
• Develop CNC and robotic machining programs using Mastercam and Robotmaster.
• Support KUKA robotic cells and improve fixture, tooling, and process controls.
