Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Texas is seeking a Composite Machining Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and optimization of CFRP machining, routing, trimming, and other secondary operations for aerospace structures. You will own processes from development through full-rate production, develop tooling and fixturing, and support CNC and robotic programming using Mastercam, Robotmaster, and KUKA cells.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering.
• Significant aerospace manufacturing experience with composite machining.
• Hands-on experience developing or supporting CFRP machining and robotic machining.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and optimization of CFRP machining for aerospace components.
• Develop CNC and robotic machining programs and tooling strategies.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy, process capability and defect reduction.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams on manufacturability.
• Support production, troubleshooting, and process validation.
