Composite Factory in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Lamination Lead to assist the Production Supervisor in organizing daily lamination operations and ensuring schedules, quality, and safety standards are met. The role includes supervising staff, training on autoclave cure cycles, and driving continuous improvement across the department.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in composite manufacturing, strong organizational and communication skills, and availability to support production timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years' experience in composite manufacturing.
• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Positive, 'can-do' attitude with the ability to maintain a professional demeanor in challenging situations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Availability as needed to meet production requirements and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in introducing new parts and processes, providing necessary training to ensure smooth transitions.
• Supervise and train employees on Autoclave cure cycles, ensuring proper loading/unloading in compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate with the Production Supervisor on cure cycles to maintain efficiency and consistency.
• Support material inventory control, notifying the team when materials are low and minimizing waste.
• Assist with quoting processes and track manufacturing times for new parts and molds, ensuring accurate reporting.
• Ensure adherence to operational procedures, reporting any discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
• Reinforce the importance of following safe work practices to maintain a productive work environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, addressing non-compliance with cleaning protocols.
• Foster a positive work environment, reporting inappropriate behaviors or violations to the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure employees wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and address violations promptly.
• Supervise GSS system processes and perform daily balancing to ensure system accuracy.
• Complete employee performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback for their development.
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to suggest operational improvements and ensure optimal team performance.

Position Overview

The Lamination Lead will assist the Production Supervisor in organizing and maintaining efficient operations within the Lamination department. Hours of Operation

1 st Shift: 7:00AM - 4:00PM; 2 nd Shift: 4:00PM - 1:00PM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership. This position is required to work on-site during scheduled business hours. Any exceptions for remote or work-from-home arrangements must be reviewed and approved in advance by the employee’s manager.
