Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an Advanced Composites Technician in Mountain View, CA to manufacture composite components and assemblies for internal and external customers.

The role requires strong lay-up and bonding skills, experience with vacuum bagging, and proficiency in Creo/AutoCAD. Candidates should be able to read engineering specs and CMIs and train junior staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• High school education required.
• 4 years of related experience, including lay-up and bonding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and CMIs.
• Knowledge of standard shop measurement tools (scales, calipers, micrometers).
• Experience with hand tools (drills, drill presses, band saws, grinders).
• Proficient with Windows-based computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform complicated lay-ups, including those requiring complex tooling.
• Apply vacuum bagging techniques for high-quality parts with minimal wrinkles.
• Use photogrammetry, theodolites, laser projectors for contouring and fixture alignment.
• Assemble and bond composite components per drawings and procedures.
• Interpret Creo/AutoCAD drawings to generate layup templates.
• Mentor and assist less-experienced colleagues.
