Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems in Mountain View, CA is seeking a driven Composites Manufacturing Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations in the Composites Technology department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time flight hardware.

You will supervise a team of 10–20 technicians, set priorities, drive process improvements, enforce ISO 9001, and support training across shifts while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must have strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations.
• Experience supervising teams of technicians and coordinating with cross-functional groups.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of 10-20 Composites Technicians across skill levels.
• Assign daily work, monitor performance, and conduct regular feedback and evaluations.
• Oversee daily production activities to ensure schedule adherence and quality standards.
• Participate in technician training, skill development, and cross-functional training initiatives.
• Provide daily production priorities and align across shifts and teams.
• Audit flight hardware quality and enforce specifications and workmanship standards.
• Drive process improvements and corrective actions to reduce defects.
• Maintain ISO 9001 compliance within the Composites area.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
