Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks a detail-oriented Composite Technician to support fabrication, assembly, repair, and inspection of advanced composites in a high-technology setting. You will work with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other composites, following engineering drawings and procedures to ensure quality and on-time production.

The role requires 1–3 years in manufacturing or technical environments, a high school diploma or GED, and relevant composite training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/composite training preferred.
• 1–3 years in manufacturing, production, or technical settings.
• Experience with carbon fiber and fiberglass composites is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, repair and inspect composite components per drawings.
• Prepare molds, tooling, materials; follow work instructions.
• Perform vacuum bagging, bonding and curing processes per procedures.
• Operate ovens, curing systems and related tools.
• Trim, drill, sand, rout and finish components to spec.
• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections for quality.
• Document production records and reports accurately.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and follow safety rules.
