Job summary

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Dunwoody, GA is seeking Components Lab Technicians to safely handle and process blood components in a regulated environment and contribute to the transfusion process.

This full-time role offers a starting hourly wage of $17.25–$18.97, with benefits including PTO, health insurance, and retirement plans. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required as part of the job expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare blood and blood products.
• Perform the lab audit process including quarantine, release and disposal of blood products based on disease testing results.
• Filter blood using dockable filters to provide leuko-reduced products.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning of instruments and department.
• Data processing and input.
• Label all available apheresis products and quarantine/discard products as necessary.
