Job summary

Schoolcraft College is seeking a Component Unit Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and coordination support for the College’s component units. You will work with the Chief of Staff to manage contracts, board relations, and meeting coordination while ensuring compliant documentation.

The role requires strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. On-site position with a 40 hour work week; expected to develop materials, track milestones, and maintain accurate

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the Chief of Staff to develop, document, and maintain standardized workflows for contracts, agreements, renewals, and related processes.
  • Liaises between the College and component unit board members; works with Board of Trustees Liaison and Chief of Staff.
  • Coordinates component unit meetings: scheduling, agendas, minutes; provides background materials.
  • Maintains relationships with component unit partners and customers as a key point of coordination and communication.

Job description

The Component Unit Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support for the College’s component units. Working closely with the Chief of Staff, this position manages contract workflows, board relations, and meeting coordination while ensuring organized documentation and compliance across all component unit activities. The Coordinator serves as a central point of communication for internal and external stakeholders, supports relationship management and issue resolution. Schoolcraft is a comprehensive, open-door, community-based college. Required Qualifications
  • One (1) year of related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to establish and maintain successful working relationship with staff, community, and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience and understanding of data analysis and process mapping.
