Job summary

Amentum in the United States is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to develop validation tests for components and collaborate with environmental and radiation teams to characterize performance. You will work across CM and Quality teams on test fixtures, software, and procedures.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field, experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, analyzers), and the ability to travel nationwide (10%). A Secret clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or related technical field.
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.
• Experience with troubleshooting and debug of electronic test circuits.
• Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.
• Ability to travel nationwide, as needed (10%).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical tests for validation against component specifications.
• Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams to complete component characterization and testing.
• Work with Configuration Management and Quality teams to manage releases and revisions of test fixtures, software, and test procedures.
• Perform characterization of newly designed components to verify operation to design requirements.
• Train engineers and operators to correctly perform testing of components.
• Review test data and reports prior to being provided to customers.
• Maintain existing fixtures, software, and test procedures
• Migrate tests to new equipment and systems, as needed.
