Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Component Test Engineer to support high-profile DoD programs at NSWC Crane. The role involves developing and maintaining test procedures and fixtures for electronic components such as resistors, transistors, transformers, and ICs.

Responsibilities include designing electrical tests, collaborating across teams, managing test assets, and training staff. Travel nationwide up to 10% and the ability to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum/network/impedance analyzers).
• Experience with troubleshooting and debugging electronic test circuits.
• Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical tests validating component specs.
• Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams for characterization.
• Work with CM and QA to manage test fixtures, software, and procedures revisions.
• Characterize newly designed components to verify operation to design requirements.
• Train engineers and operators to perform testing correctly.
• Review test data and reports before providing to customers.
• Maintain fixtures, software, and test procedures; migrate tests to new equipment as needed.
