Job summary

Drexel Building Supply in Campbellsport, WI is seeking a Component Field Specialist to serve as the technical bridge between job sites, our sales team, and the truss design group. You will conduct field measurements, verify framing details, and support builders with proper bracing and installation practices.

The role requires regular travel within the central region, on-site demonstrations, rapid site issue resolution, and collaboration with plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive site visits to inspect installed truss and engineered wood products.
• Perform precise field measurements for complex additions and remodels, gathering accurate structural data for pass-to-design.
• Demonstrate proper BCSI temporary and permanent truss bracing techniques on-site to drive safety and compliance.
• Investigate floor deflection, bounce, or squeaks to diagnose root causes and deliver remediation.
• Lead field investigations to eliminate or minimize backcharge exposure with clear root-cause logging.
• Spend a minimum of 1 day per week at the Wrightstown manufacturing facility to stay aligned with plant operations.
• Share regional field trends and feedback with design teams and QB to improve products and processes.
• Balance territory coverage between jobsite travel, customer interactions, and on-site presence at Wrightstown, WI.
