Amentum is seeking a Component Engineer to support Strategic Microelectronics at NSWC Crane in Indiana. This hybrid role teleworks on Mondays and Fridays and is on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, enabling collaboration with the technologist team and military programs.

Responsibilities include advising on part selection, performing failure analysis, developing test plans, and providing life-cycle support for strategic systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, preferably Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Component engineering experience focusing on quality and reliability standards for IEEE parts.
• Ability to communicate ideas to customers, program offices, colleagues, and contractors.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide component engineering support to the technologist team and write technical reports.
• Advise on part selection for military programs and designers.
• Troubleshoot component issues and recommend solutions.
• Develop test plans and provide complete life-cycle support of strategic systems.
• Travel is required—average 25% of the time.
