Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation in Novi, MI is seeking a Component Design Engineer to join the Global Mechanical Systems Capability team. This hybrid role requires three office days per week.

You will deliver component and sub-system designs for engines, focus on safety, manufacturability and cost, and work with manufacturing, analysis and program teams using model-based definition workflows. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Master’s preferred), 1+ year (Engineer I) or 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 1+ years of mechanical design knowledge.
• Master’s degree in engineering is acceptable for Engineer II.
• U.S. Citizen required to be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Deliver designs for components, assemblies and engine subsystems with safety and manufacturability in mind.
• Create and maintain model-based definition and related documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, analysis, and project teams to ensure producibility.
• Apply lean and robust design principles to reduce defects and costs.
