Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, seeks an engineering professional to join our fast-paced turbine design and development team. You will contribute to hot gas path component design, perform thermal analyses, and help improve our tools and workflows.
You will support engine testing and data analysis to validate designs. The role requires a mechanical/thermo-fluid engineering background, familiarity with FEA/CFD/CAD, and programming ability.
This position provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic engineering product development environment for industrial gas turbines for power generation. Each day involves working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues and team members on program development projects, component improvements, and technology enhancements according to priorities and assignments. Design and analysis efforts will rely heavily on collaboration, not only with immediate team members, but with global and cross-organizational resources. Continuous learning will take place, through execution of tasks and activities, application of discipline knowledge, implementation of innovative thinking and ideas, and through attendance of specific courses, both technical and non-technical. You will utilize and exercise cutting-edge design and analysis tools in these endeavors, while identifying areas and aspects for improvement. You will support your colleagues through sharing ideas, questions, and results, and communicate and present directly with internal customers, stakeholders, management, leadership councils and design boards, as required.
