Job summary

Teachers Federal Credit Union is seeking a Control Testing Specialist in Hauppauge, NY to execute risk-based compliance tests in accordance with internal policies and banking laws. The role requires meticulous documentation, strong written communication, and the ability to work independently and with teams.

Responsibilities include testing deposit regulations and related controls, validating findings and controls, and maintaining accurate regulatory records.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or four years related experience
• 3+ years in compliance, audit, risk management with testing focus
• Knowledge of Deposit regulations
• Strong written communication and detail orientation
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general risk/audit testing concepts

Responsibilities

• Executes risk-based compliance testing for key deposit and other regulations such as Regulation E, NCUA 707 Truth in Savings, Regulation CC, Regulation P, Garnishments, Abandoned Property, ADA, UDAAP, etc.
• Performs detailed transactional testing of new accounts, member disclosures, statements, error resolution, checks, ACH files, advertisements, escheatment processes, etc.
• Maintains current and accurate records for documentation of regulatory compliance.
• Identifies control weaknesses and documents root causes and validation of corrective actions by business lines
• Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
