Job summary

Jain Global is seeking a Compliance Technology Junior Developer to join our team in New York, NY. You will help build and maintain tools for trade compliance, surveillance, and regulatory reporting under guidance from senior engineers and the Legal & Compliance team.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in software development, with Python, React/TypeScript, REST APIs, SQL, and familiarity with Snowflake and AWS.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Strong knowledge of React/TypeScript, REST APIs and SQL.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS RDS / Postgres / MySQL, Git.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
• Experience with trading platforms and order/execution data is a plus.
• Exposure to AWS or cloud infrastructure preferred, but not required.
• Experience with Docker or CI/CD pipelines preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data feeds related to employee profiles, communication surveillance, and trading activity, ensuring accurate and timely capture of data within key compliance systems.
• Maintain critical compliance alerts that support regulatory obligations, helping ensure effective escalation and auditability of potential compliance issues
• Contribute to a compliance restrictions system that enables firmwide trading.
• Support standardization of trade and order data across trading systems, and contribute to data enrichment and integrations that streamline regulatory reporting and enable accurate, timely trade surveillance in line with regulatory expectations.
• Work closely with senior developers and Compliance stakeholders to help translate policies and regulatory rules into technical workflows and controls.
