We are seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Compliance Technology team for the summer of 2027. In this role, you will support the firm’s compliance function by contributing to technology solutions that help meet regulatory obligations. Collaborating with senior engineers and the Legal & Compliance team, you will design, build, and ship one well-scoped project end to end: a working tool that automates a process the Compliance team currently handles manually. You will write production-quality code, work with real data, and partner directly with compliance officers and engineers. You’ll create something the team actually uses.
Your project will be chosen from our 2027 roadmap based on team priorities and your skills. Projects will fall into one of two areas: Internal monitoring. Build services that ingest trading or activity data, apply compliance rules, flag exceptions, and surface them to reviewers through a clean interface. Examples include checking that activity stays within defined restrictions, or reconciling records and timestamps across systems to catch discrepancies. Team metrics and reporting. Build an automated pipeline that collects, calculates, and visualizes the metrics Compliance reports to management, replacing manual spreadsheets with a repeatable, auditable system.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $182,000 for Masters students and $234,000 for PhD students, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
